About "Chłopcy kontra Basia / Aga Derlak / Andrzej Święs - Na gospodzie"
The lyric of our song was written at the beginnig of XX by a Polish village artist - Stanisław Bojarczuk and describes traditional wedding held at Jewish inn in Rońsko (eastern Poland). The music was written by us and combines jazz and folk: the melody Basia sings was based on traditional wedding tune from Poland, Lubelskie region (Cze cze, korowaj się piecze). Finally - the video. On contrary it shows modern Italian wedding held in USA, recorded in 1955 (CC). The video beautifully communicates with polish old poem we play, as the wedding tells the same story of love and symbolic new live. Wherever and whevever it happens,
