Chand Ali Khan Qawwal & Party are the leading UK-based Sufi Qawwali and Bollywood group, primarily performing in the art of authentic Qawwali, the devotional music of the Sufis. Extending the 700-year-old genre of Qawwali in the UK, Chand Ali Khan Qawwal & Party present a mesmerizing display of vocal flair to create captivating experiences in the sacred art form. The lead qawwal, Chand Ali Khan, is widely credited for his virtuoso talents in Qawwali, Naat, and Bollywood to a range of multicultural audiences, particularly in the UK. The Party is able to perform at a high intensity for a number of hours and is able to truly connect with a variety of audiences due to their young and versatile nature.
Born in Pakistan and initiated under the Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Memorial Academy UK, Chand Ali Khan was appointed the Head of the Qawwali Party with the permission of Haji Muhammad Iqbal Naqeebi (UK Manager of the late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan). Chand Ali Khan is also the 'shagird', or disciple, of world-renowned Ustad Iqbal Hassan Khan, influenced and impressed by the legendary and authentic style of raw Qawwali as popularized by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Ustad Arif Feroz Khan Qawwal. As such, they are the only UK group to perform in the true, authentic style of the late great Ustad, of which some members have had the privilege to be trained by some members of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's party.
Today, Chand Ali Khan is in high demand in the UK, engaging in collaborations with top UK musicians to deliver truly transcending performances. He has brought his reputation and brand as a Qawwali Artist with him from Pakistan and is now strongly established over the last 6 years in the UK Qawwali industry; he has received recognition from the Qawwali circles for his humble rapport and versatile abilities.
