About "Light Rain"
Light Rain is a contemporary classical piece for shakuhachi and string quartet, composed by Lachlan Skipworth in 2009. Elements of traditional Zen Buddhist pieces, called honkyoku can be heard throughout.

Bronwyn Kirkpatrick is a shihan (master) of the shakuhachi who studied with shakuhachi grand-master Dr Riley Lee in Sydney, Australia for seven years. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in clarinet performance, graduating from the Canberra School of Music, ANU with Distinction in 1994.
