About "Revolution"
" Revolution " is a tribute of the Senegalese singer-songwriter Baye Star, to the victims of the events that have been occuring in Senegal since two years.
An hymn of encouragement to his family in Teranga, to take the situation into his own hands in order to obtain justice and dignity, in light of the recent events that have struck the nation and which have unfortunately seen the loss of 11 young people, including a 12-year-old boy, during the firefights with the police.
Life is a precious asset and too often it is put to the test due to the bad conditions in which the country is in.
It is unthinkable that a continent such as Africa, rich in resources in raw materials and precious metals, should force young people to revolt and decide to fight death in ocean crossings, to migrate to other countries in order to find their dignity. This is no longer tolerable, and the time has come to turn around!
