Es Credo is a traditional tune from Ibiza that I learned to play on the traditional flute and drum we play on the island
which accompany the traditional dances along with the wooden castanets. The melody is of ancestral origin and it
is used for solemn ceremonies. One time, while playing it and harmonizing it with the piano, I felt its power and its
echoes from ancient ages, taking me back to Byzantium and the old Ibiza island. It was energetic, solemn and very
Mediterranean in character. From this acknowledgement, I decided to include it in the repertoire of ''Andrés Coll
Odyssey'' with my marimba, the energetic and electric drumming of Ramón, the folkloric tinged strings of Mateusz's
violin, and the weight of tradition of Majid's guembri.
