A Platform for Ethnically and Culturally Inspired Music
ABOUT
Acholitronix, or Electro Acholi, is a new musical arts creation from the backbone of Acholi cultural music from Northern Uganda, East Africa, being blended in electronic form from local instruments of Africa by the duo Leo PaLayeng (producer, singer, writer, composer, instrumentalist) and Otim Alpha (percussionist, singer, writer, instrumentalist). Super fast danceable music with BPM between 109-170, the album Double Vinyl Gulu Anthem is already in international stores.
They have already performed at various international festivals, including Unsound (Krakow, Poland 2017; Berlin 2017; Roskilde in 2018), Africa Nouveau in Kenya 2017, South Africa 2017, and Nyege Nyege Festival at the source of the Nile in Uganda.
They have also held closed-door events at Les Sucre, France 2018, Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, Belgium 2018, Lovente 7-9 in Tel Aviv, Israel, La Poke in Paris 2017, etc.
