Ethnically and Culturally Inspired Music
About "Día de la Madre (Nicomedes Santa Cruz) + Cuánto trabajo (Gloria Martín)"
The most veteran/old ones maybe remember Tito Ortiz Urquiza, our first Argentine folklore teacher at the end of the 70s of the last century, reciting this poem by the peruvian Nicomedes Santa Cruz. And then with their group "Los Nocheros de Anta", they sang “Cuánto trabajo” by the spanish-venezuelan Gloria Martín.
Tito, without a doubt, is one of the "culprits" that we have dedicated an important part of our lives to the folklore from the other side of the ocean. We wanted to record that same recit-song combination to honor his memory.
