Avec sa guitare électrique, le brillant artiste camerounais est devenu un reporter des émotions et des
sentiments humains à travers une vingtaine d’albums d’Afro Beat et d’Afro Jazz.

V ospredju oddaje kamerunski glasbenik Franck Biyong, ki že vrsto let živi in deluje v Evropi.
Odraščal je v Gabonu, Nigeriji in Slonokoščeni obali. Podobno pisana je tudi njegova glasba,
svojevrstna panafriška zmes raznovrstnih slogov in vplivov, od makosse prek afrobeata do
kongoleške rumbe in highlifa. Obenem si Biyong prizadeva za povezovanje afriških idiomov s
sodobnim zahodnjaškim popom in rockom. »Želim podreti oviro, ki ločuje afriško glasbo od
mainstreama. Želim priti v ta prostor in v svet rokenrola vnesti dovolj afriških začimb,
da ustvarim značilen zvok.« Poslušamo njegov sveži album Radio Masoda, na katerem so med
drugim gostovali pokojni soboter afrobeata Tony Allen ter člani zasedb Egypt 80 in Kwashibu
Area Band.
