ABOUT
Anita Daulne (Ethno Vocal Groove — EVG)
Anita Daulne is a singer, composer, performer, and polyphony instructor whose work bridges her Congolese and Belgian heritage. A former member of Zap Mama, she has spent more than 30 years traveling across Africa, learning from griots, Pygmies, Tuareg women, Zulus, and more. She has brought those vocal traditions into conversation with contemporary approaches in workshops and collaborations worldwide.
As the founder and creative force behind Ethno Vocal Groove (EVG), she leads choirs such as Sakina (Brussels), Duniani (Frasnes), and Chœur du Monde (Lessines). EVG reimagines global vocal traditions through contemporary arrangements, exploring polyphonies, vocal-percussive rhythms, and even fractal vocal techniques. Anita’s work is not only about transmitting skills—it’s about connecting cultures, fostering musical accessibility, and offering a deeply immersive, transformative vocal experience.
