About "Χερουβικός Ύμνος/Cherubic Hymn - Vasilis Nalbantis "
This is a video of the track Cherubic Hymn from my album ''Byzantine Music through the Microtonal trumpet''. You can see (and if you want, play along) the notes heard in the track as i transcribed and arranged them in Western Music Notation.
The symbols for the non tempered notes are in approximation(upper left corner). I sometimes lowered the pitch a little more or less than the corresponding symbol. I urge you to seek also the original Byzantine notation(Parasimantiki) for this, as well as for other Hymns and Chants as their philosophy is different than the western one but very interesting!

In the track you can hear a total of 7 microtonal trumpets(overdubbed), a bass trumpet and a valve trombone(lowered 1 octave post production).

The recording i based this arrangement on is from the ''Cherubic hymn: by the angelic hosts'' by Romeiko Ensemble, from their album ''Divine Liturgy Of St John Chrysostom''
