The Elect Band is a Lusaka, Zambia-based instrumental fusion and backup band. Founded on gospel and formed in Lusaka in 2009, the band consists of 8 musicians. The musicians perform on a variety of instruments including keyboards, guitars, woodwinds, brass, and percussion (drums).

In its years of existence, the band has worked with quite a number of Zambia's big names in the music industry like Rachel Nanyangwe, Ephraim Son of Africa, Scarlet Mwana Okondewa, Mampi, Hil St. Soul, Macky2, Pompi, God's Vessel, Izrael (Exile), Slap Dee, The Worship Connection Team, and many more. The band has also shared the stage with international acts like Hugh Masekela, Kenny Lattimore, Juanita Bynum, Don Moen, Zahara, Uche Agu, Pride Priestly, Oliver Mtukudzi, Zonke, and Mahogany Jones. The band has toured in Kenya, Namibia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Malawi, backing artists or performing on their own at parties, corporate events, weddings, and festivals like the Music Crossroads Interregional Festival (2011, 2012), The Blantyre Arts Festival (2013), SANAA Africa (2013), and the local Misty Jazz Festival (2014).

The band is currently in the studio working on their debut project headlining band member James Sakala and an instrumental jazz project.
