Sonido Tré is formed by: Quique Domenech, a renowned Puerto Rican cuatro player, who has been nominated twice for the Latin Grammy Awards; Mayda Belén, who is one of the vocalists and was a semi-finalist in Latin American Idol 2007; and Edgar Ríos, who was part of the group Nota, winner of the NBC Sing Off contest. "Sonido Tré" is a fusion of pop, Latin, and folk (ethnic) music which is distinguished by the duet, Mayda Belén and Edgar Ríos, creating a unique musical group with the outstanding harmonious sound of the Puerto Rican cuatro.
