Our version of ”Lazi Lazo Lazare" features unusual Balkan music time signatures with a fusion of jazzy clarinet, rock-style mandola and darbuka drumming.
The original song tells the tale of a woman playfully taunting her boyfriend Lazar to climb to her to try to grasp the silken scarves of her golden sleeves. It has often been sung in chorus.
Our take is in a more compact band format to allow us to perform it live.
