Sleepsinger is a side project of the American multi-instrumentalist and composer Ron Perovich. The project was started in 2009 to explore music for meditation and relaxation, especially with Native American flutes and other wind instruments. Perovich plays all the instruments heard on the album, including the Turkish Ney, Armenian Duduk, Japanese Shakuhachi, Persian Kamancheh, guitar, percussion, and keyboards. Although Perovich himself is not of Native American descent, the NAF is just one of the instruments he enjoys playing and that he chose to record on this album.
