About "Farmhouse At Sunset / Evening Rain"
Farmhouse at Sunset / Evening Rain is unusual music. It begins as a gentle, reflective, waltz with a touch of a modern Appalachian feeling and then turns into a jazz slip jig. The slip jig (9/8) is one of my favorite forms of Celtic fiddle music.

The musicians on the recording are Amy Leonard, violin; Jeff Knoettner, piano; E. Shawn Qaissaunee, guitar; and Peter McCarthy, bass.

I am primarily a jazz composer. A wide range of influences are found in my music including tango, blues, samba, fusion, ragtime, contemporary classical, American roots music, and other kinds of music that interest me.
