A Platform for Ethnically and Culturally Inspired Music
ABOUT
Band founded in 1979 in Bratislava, former Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia). Prešporok is an old name for the town of Bratislava (Pressburg in German), used until 1918.

Their songs are a unique mixture of urban folk, rock, or big beat. They are all author compositions by the frontman. On the other hand, the band plays a lot of traditional folklore ethnic songs, especially from northern Slovakia (Liptov region), where the frontman has his roots.

Current band members:

Kliment Ondrejka Jr. (Klimo) - founder, lead vocals, guitars, composer, songwriter (since 1979)

František Petriška (Fero) - flute, tin whistle, harmonica, guitar (since 2017, however, worked with the band as a sound engineer since the late '80s and occasionally played the flute as a guest)

Vladimír Mrázko (Vlado) - cajon, drums, various percussions (since 1985)

Igor Baar (Igi) - bass (guest)
