A Platform for Ethnically and Culturally Inspired Music
About ""A Viaxe Do Celta" (Fernando Mosquera. OUTLANDER, 2015)"
This is my own version of a piece that is very dear to me, that I like to start my concerts with: “Habidis Factory”. It’s from the
soundtrack to GISAKU, an animated lm that I was lucky enough to work on in 2005. This wonderful melody was composed along with my friends Óscar Araujo and Emilio Alquézar for FILMAX Animation Spain together with the Japanese lm industry. The song currently belongs to Castelao Production, S.A.
The title change occurred while collaborating with my dear friends Ido Segal and Wafir Sheik. Their oriental instruments allowed me to give the song a sound unlike the original, as if it told of a journey back in time to traditional music of the past. Ido and Wafir are members of the musical group 'Veneranda Dies Ensemble', which I have the honor to direct. They specialize in music from the Middle Ages.
Thanks go out to both of you for participating on this piece. It’s a pleasure having your skill and friendship. Also thanks to Oscar,
Emilio and FILMAX for making my dream of recording this version a reality.
