Kostis Avissinos is a famous Cretan singer and music player. Son of the very famous traditional violin virtuoso George Avissinos, he started playing traditional string music instruments (lute, mandolin, bulgari, bouzouki) from his early childhood with his father. He performs both in Greece and abroad, in European countries and in America, transferring the color of traditional Cretan and Greek folk music all over the world. Apart from his personal works, he has participated in many records of famous Greek artists.
