Singer and musician committed to using song and sound as a medium of personal, social and ecological transformation. Katie creates music which interweaves original material with song, chant and mantra from global tradition. Her latest album, empty cup, follows an EP of traditional songs, fol-de-rose (2010) and contributions to compilations Echoes from the Mountain (Rif Mountain 2010) and Weirdlore (Folk Police 2012). Two previous albums The Singing Tree (2009) and Shiva's Rain (2011) are dedicated to ecological causes. Katie has worked with Sing for Water, organising and participating in events which raise funds for WaterAid. Composition includes creating a piece 'Love and Compassion' to accompany Road to Peace (2012), a film about the Dalai Lama. Previous sonic adventures include performing alongside the likes of The Barefoot Doctor, Basement Jaxx, Tim Wheater, Don Conreaux, Nikki Slade and and leading singing groups, individual sessions and workshops in fields, yurts and venues across the UK and beyond.
