A Platform for Ethnically and Culturally Inspired Music
ABOUT
(ENG) KUNBE, "encounter" in Bambara, is the result of several years of exchange and cooperation between French and Malian musicians, including the singer Mountaga Diabaté (Super Rail Band from Bamako), the drummer Morissanda Diabaté, and the guitarist Sékou Marcel Coulibaly.
Living up to their rock identity where they're from, this is not the first intermixing project for the Livenais brothers with African artists (Caline Georgette & Jimi Hope, Akeikoi, Paco Koné, Segun Ola…).
Without any breaks or slowing pace, KUNBE's gigs are powerful and wonderfully colorful. You can find in them the African vibe in its most dancing and bouncing side, with soft and catchy melodies that stick to your ears for good, the power of a rock trio who knew how to adapt themselves by bringing more energy with a well-western color, warm and transcendent gimmicks of guitars and keyboards. The whole of it is served with the joy of music everybody can have access to, shared and balanced between the musicians, where each of them finds his place and his freedom of playing.

Fidèles à leur identité rock d'où ils sont issus, les frères Livenais ne sont pas à leur premier projet de métissage avec des artistes africains (Caline Georgette & Jimi Hope, Akeikoi, Paco Koné, Segun Ola...).
Sans temps mort et sans baisse de régime, les concerts de KUNBE sont puissants et colorés à merveille. On y retrouve la vibration africaine dans ce qu'elle a de plus dansant et rebondissant, les mélodies douces et accrocheuses qui vous collent définitivement à l'oreille, la puissance d'un trio rock qui a su s'adapter en y apportant un surplus d'énergie avec une coloration bien occidentale, des gimmicks de guitares et de claviers chaleureux et transcendants.
