A Platform for Ethnically and Culturally Inspired Music
ABOUT
Gustar Festival invites the citizens of Moldova and foreign tourists to a multicultural dialogue.
The event is taking place during the national holidays in the month of August.
People call it Gustar, an archaic word that symbolizes the month when most of the fruits, including grapes, are ripe and are tasted.
Organized in the surroundings of the Orhei Vechi Museum, it provides:
- a major touristic attraction;
- 500 km from the geographic center of Europe;
- 50 km North-East of Chisinau, geographic coordinates: North: 47° 18' 20", East: 28° 58' 30";
The remnants of consecutive cultures from historical periods dating back 30 thousand years are kept in the open air: Stone Age, Copper Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Antiquity, the Middle Ages.
At the crossing of the Occident and Orient, thus representing a phenomenon of universal significance;
Gustar Music Festival will take place in August 2014 in a historical and archaeological complex, located on the Răut River called Old Orhei (Romanian: Orheiul Vechi), in the Republic of Moldova with amazing acoustics and a magnificent landscape.
At this festival, we are trying to bring different cultures together and create a space for cultural exchange with different bands from other countries in the world.
