Gondwana Dawn is a world music project led by a humanitarian endeavor. The project owners are internationally acclaimed Indian classical artist and Padma Shri awardee (one of the highest Indian civilian awards) Sumitra Guha and double Grammy winner Robin Hogarth.
Gondwana Dawn is a world music project led by a humanitarian endeavor. This project brings together the vibrant African music with the soulful Indian music and gives opportunities to children all over the world to rise and shine.
From the swirling mists at the dawn of time come the ancient hymns of the Vedas, and the spirituality of Africa. Gondwana Dawn combines African Gospel music and Indian songs, traditional skilled instruments, and voice. This album takes us into a unique new world of spirituality, music, and rhythm: India and Africa united in music. The highlight of this album is that the choir consists of talented underprivileged children.
