ABOUT
Manrouf Chanfi - DJ Metisse Profile

Manrouf is a French national born in Madagascar who was raised in France and is currently living in Bristol, UK.

From an early age, his family surrounded him with music, and he counts an eclectic mix of early musical influences which includes African Soukous, Malagasy and general AfroPop, Disco, R'n'B, Soul, and Arabic music.

In France, he discovered French Pop, Chansons, Funk, Hip Hop, and Jazz. As a young teen, he co-hosted a music show on a pirate radio in Toulon. In Martinique, where he lived for a few years, he discovered a melting pot of cultures and musical influences from the Caribbean and Latin America.

He continues to enjoy the sounds from his past and constantly seeks out new artists and music that feeds the mind and soul.
