Black Bank Folk came about when song writers John Colbert and James Sheeran came together with some of Ireland's best trad musicians, Eamon De Barra, Sean McKeon, Sean Regan, John McLoughlin and Sharon Hussey. Their critically acclaimed debut album "Rising" was enthusiastically received by listeners and saw the band take the stage at great venues around the country often joined by their friend and collaborator Damien Dempsey
