Baracutanga means "People Dancing," and that is exactly what people do when attending one of our presentations. Baracutanga's live shows are joyous, intense, and also provide a unique cultural experience to the audience. Baracutanga has shared the stage with important artists such as Orquesta Akokán (Cuba), The Family Stone (USA), Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto (Colombia), Palenke Soul Tribe (Mexico), Barenaked Ladies (Canada), Mexican Institute of Sound (Mexico), Dwayne Dopsie & The Zydeco Hellraisers (USA), Lakou Mizik (Haiti), Birds of Chicago (USA), Ranky Tanky (USA), with performances at the Calgary International Folk Festival (Canada), a standing ovation at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities (Arvada, CO), The University of Illinois (Urbana, IL), The Santa Fe Bandstand (Santa Fe, NM), and many others. The band was also featured on the NPR Alt Latino show, "The Many Shades of Latinx Culture.
