About "Ďouča / Girl"
This song comes from Rejdová in northern Gemer region. We devised the basic arrangement
playing a guitar and then we kept evolving and rearranging the song until we have found
what ii is that we don’t like about it – the guitar. So we’ve replaced it with an excellent Irish
bouzouki with special Ivan’s tuning.

Girl, girl of white face
Don’t go around the parsonage
Because the pastor’s still young
And he’ll call you to his garden

Girl, girl, white crystal,
I’d be a good match for you
Black eyes, white cheeks,
Your mother won’t give you to me

Girl, girl, white angel
Where will I find you this evening
There’s no resting for me
I fancy you, my dear soul

Girl, girl, little swallow
I’ve liked you since you were little
Since you were very, very little
My white little dove
