"Yo Soy Atabal" has won Second Place in the Latin Music category for the 2019 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). With over 18,000 entries from 140 countries all over the world, this is an outstanding accomplishment, and we applaud the songwriting skill and dedication it takes to reach this status.
It's a song that unites past and present of the legendary Puerto Rican folklore group Atabal, "Yo Soy Atabal" (I am Atabal)
It is a tribute to the founder of the group Hector "Atabal" Rodriguez. It has some jazz elements but continues to be bomba. Singing is Hector's son Caymmi who is also the mind behind the musical transition of the band.
