ABOUT
Animal Dreams (formerly Decadent Fluorescent Essence Machine) was formed in early 2012 by Luis Adorno, Brian Painter, and Jessica Hardwick after numerous times playing music together in Wilmington, NC. We have played shows in and around Wilmington, NC, with various local and touring acts, as well as performing at the Mayhem Music and Arts Festival and multiple Project Chalk events.
Animal Dreams blends influences from various musicians and artists from different genres and time periods. Each of the members contributes to playing instruments and is known to switch instruments and styles mid-song.
Psychedelic, folk, experimental, and various forms of world and electronic music are clear influences on the sound of Animal Dreams, but not the only ones. We are always interested in experimenting with new concepts and sounds.
Animal Dreams has recently finished recording our debut EP, The Amelia EP, with our good friend DJ GON. It is scheduled to be released sometime in mid-May 2013.
