Reviving a very ancient and well established tradition in the Mughal courts of yore, when Arabian, Turkish, Persian, Afghani and Indian musicians would perform together for the court, here the Middle Eastern Oud, the Persian Tombak, the Sitar and the Tabla from India, improvise around a recurring short composition of mine known as gat in the Indian classical tradition. The amazing visuals include historic photos of former Maharajas, Indian paintings by Edwin Lord Weeks and beautiful print and embroidery textile patterns used in Indian sarees.
