The World Village Project only supports musicians currently resident in the UK.
Bands and individuals who represent what can be called the new generation of 'World Music' artists.
We want to support artists who are proud of their own cultural heritage but want to develop and change traditional perceptions of what their music can be all about.
We want to support bands and individuals who exemplify the value of creative musical collaboration, respect for diverse musical traditions, and seek to give mutual artistic support.
We want to support a generation that will transform many people's preconceived ideas of what 'world music' in modern Britain is all about.
We want to support artists who have geographically and musically moved on from their traditional musical backgrounds.
We want to support artists who reinvent ways of playing their instruments, experiment with unique collaborations, and mix musical genres.
